Yes. I offer in-person sessions at my office in downtown London, Ontario. I also offer virtual sessions via JaneVideo — a secure, encrypted, Canada-based platform — across Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia.
Individual psychotherapy sessions are $150 per 60-minute session. EMDR Intensives are $140 per hour. EMDR Consultation is $100/hour for individual, $50/hour for dyadic, and $320 for a group consultation package (4 sessions of 2 hours each). A sliding scale is available for those with financial barriers — please reach out for availability. For full details, see the Pricing page.
This depends entirely on what you are working through and what you want from therapy. Some people find meaningful relief in a focused, shorter course of work; others benefit from longer-term support. I do not set a predetermined number of sessions — we check in regularly about how things are progressing and what feels right for you.
EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing — is a research-backed therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories that have become "stuck" in the nervous system. Using bilateral stimulation (typically guided eye movements), EMDR activates the brain's natural information-processing system and allows the emotional charge attached to difficult memories to reduce. The memory does not disappear; it simply loses its power to hijack your present. Learn more on the EMDR Therapy page.
EMDR Intensives are extended, focused sessions — either half-day (3–4 hours) or full-day (5–6 hours) — that condense what might take months of weekly therapy into a concentrated format. They are particularly well-suited for people who have done some prior therapeutic work, who have limited availability for weekly appointments, or who want to accelerate their progress. The number of hours is determined on your free consultation call.
Many extended health benefit plans cover services provided by a Registered Social Worker. I provide direct billing receipts for all sessions that you can submit to your insurance provider. I recommend checking with your provider directly to confirm your coverage. Payment is due at the time of service.
The first session is primarily about getting to know each other and beginning to understand your history, your goals, and what has brought you to therapy. There is no pressure to share anything you are not ready to share. We will talk about what you are hoping to work on, I will share a bit about how I work, and together we will begin to get a sense of what our work together might look like. It is a conversation, not an assessment.
